Just a little note from the Virgil and Ruby Hancock reunion that happened this past Saturday. We were commemorating (a little early) Grandpa (Virgil) Hancock's 90th birthday with as many of the progeny as could be gathered. I think pretty much all the children and at least one grandchild + family were there with the exception of Kevin and his kids. We enjoyed BBQ beef sandwiches, chips, and the exquisite dill pickle potato salad that I love so much smothered with the baked beans. A selection of dill pickled green beans also made an appearance!
The kids enjoyed the water balloon toss, Dad/Grandpa/J.D. smoked his siblings on the parental quiz contest, and Charlotte cleaned up on the Smarties. Unfortunately I only got one picture of the gathering, and it was actually of Charlotte having fun watching her shadow swinging. All the rest of you coulda, shoulda, but didn't.
('Cept Jill who should have left the balloon toss competition in the dust with her partner Cousin Chase, but got lackadaisical and in a poor stance caught a one hander off balance and sploosh! there it is...)

aint it the truth! aw well, at least travis and sharis made a good showing the in the grand championship for our age group! and just for the record, i did manage better than a third of the questions on the first activity. :)

Maybe we will have to have some balloon toss practice up at the cabin, we can't have our line of the Hancock family falling short next year!
