Catching up

It seems to be that growing season for families again in the Hancock clan, and we are contributing and possible. I think most of you know now that we have four kids in our family. Earl (also shown as ET) joined the family about 3 weeks ago. He is a bright little dude and a ready smiler. So far so good. He is already up for adoption. We are waiting to see if a potential family member placement pans out or not before we know how long we keep him. He will at least be part of the family for 4 months, and that is one third of the year!

Viv is closer to being ours officially. We had a court date on the 30th of August that determined the case plan would change to 'Severence and Adoption.' Our next court date is set for the 22nd of this month to see if bio mom is going to try and contest it. If she does, the whole process is drug out, if now we get a 'drive by' hearing and the case is moved to adoption. We then get our adoptive home study done (which we are already getting underway) and she could be legally ours. For about a month now when I am tucking her in at night and telling her she is a fantastic part of the family she has responded "I am part of your family for forever now." So we are settled.

ring around the rosies, all four

That is our four. I may have been a late starter but I have sneaky ways of catching up ;)

In other news. Josh switched jobs (again) and works in Coolidge (south) for a non-profit. We are locked into a two year contract and possibly extend it for three if we can lock in a good rate with the loan repayment. I am acting again in a children's production of 'Beauty and the Beast' and looking forward to more roles next year (We decided to decline two roles this fall when Earl popped into the picture). All the kiddos are involved in soccer and then Faith does dance, Viv is a star gymnast, and Danny will be doing baseball in October. Earl is still mastering walking around the house without bumping into things, as soon as we get the spacial stuff figured out then we will move onto coordination.

We love you all and are planning to be up for snow at Christmas Dec 19-26.
